East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) has initiated a beautification drive with the aim to increase the green cover under flyovers.
These spaces are now filled with amazing gardens which include various sorts of plants and flowers. Further, pictures depicting different themes such as teachings of freedom fighters, various facets of Indian culture and Swacch Bharat Mission among others adorn their walls.
These green spaces also offer shade to travellers, local residents and labourers.
The flyovers where the spaces underneath have been transformed are - Akshardham (Delhi-Meerut Expressway), Sonia Vihar, Mayur Vihar Phase 1 (Noida-Delhi link road), Karkrari Mor, Keshav Chowk and Gokulpri flyover.
