Noida residents travelling to GreNo will soon breathe easy

Here’s some good news for residents of high-rise societies in sectors 74,75,77 and 78. Work has begun on a stretch of one kilometre, connecting Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway with sectors 115 and 117 and Sorkha village. Noida News

Noida Authority began construction on March 30.

Once the stretch is complete, motorists travelling from sectors 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 115, 116, 117 and other areas to Greater Noida will save a great deal of time.

ML Rawat, project engineer of Noida Authority, said, “Work on 50 per cent of the road is complete, and remaining work will be completed by next week. It will be opened to the public soon.”

Amit Gupta, a resident of Prateek Wisteria, told City Spidey, “Residents often face traffic at Sector 71 intersection and other areas while travelling to Greater Noida. But after this route opens up, travel time will come down by at least 20 minutes!”

He added, “We had been asking Noida Authority officials to build this road since the last two years. Finally, things are moving.”

To this, Rawat replied, “Work on the road got delayed because of a ban on the use of hot-mix plant by National Green Tribunal and some other issues as well.”

The FNG Expressway connects Sector 115 with Noida-GreNo West road at Sector 123. Once the stretch is complete, the road that connects Sector 77/115 with the expressway will be ready for use.
