SDMC Mayor Kamaljeet Sehrawat, also a resident of Sector 6, said to City Spidey, “A survey has already been done in this regard in Sectors 6, 10 and 19. I personally went on a recce of the parks, and found the Sector-19 park best suited to the requirements.”
Revealing details, she said, “An artificial forest would be developed, with figures of various wild animals. The landscaping would be made interesting — with an element of thrill to it. And, of course, there would be ornamental lights and benches and the usual paraphernalia.”
Residents and RWAs have welcomed the step.
Vice-president of Dwarka Forum and a resident of Sector 8, AS Chatwal, said, “There’s no park of that sort in Dwarka. The sub-city has more than 500 small and big parks, but none based on an adventure theme. Parks that are not too big and are surrounded by societies must be considered for such themed parks.”
