The arrival of the new SSP, Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma in Gautam Budh Nagar has spread alarm bells amongst the criminals in the region. In the last 50 hours, the police has indulged in 6 encounters while 6 dangerous criminals carrying bounty on their heads have been arrested.
Noida Police successfully killed a wanted criminal Shravan Kumar who was carrying a bounty of Rs. 1 lakh on Sunday morning during an encounter. An AK-47, a 315 bore rifle and a car was found from his possession. Cops have claimed that the man carried a bounty of Rs. 1 lakh.
Shravan and one of his accomplices were passing through Noida Phase-3 in pursuit of committing some crime during the morning hours of Thursday. However, the police received his whereabouts through a whistle-blower and tried to confront him. Noida News
Upon seeing the police, Shravan was caught off-guard and started firing indiscriminately whereas his accomplice was able to escape the encounter scenario. As a result, the cops too retaliated.
Meerut Zone’s ADG Prashant Kumar received a bullet during the encounter. However, he had a lucky escape as the bullet-proof jacket that he was wearing saved him. However, 3 policemen were injured in the firing and Shravan was shot.
The injured policemen and the criminal were admitted in the hospital where the doctors declared that Shravan was dead.
During the last 50 hours, the police arrested a criminal Khushi Mohammad, carrying a bounty of Rs. 10 thousand during an encounter at Noida Phase-3. Further, the third encounter occurred at Noida Sector 58, where another criminal Paan Singh, carrying a bounty of Rs. 25 thousand was arrested.
The fourth encounter took place in Dadri which led to the arrest of a goon named Jitender, again carrying a bounty of Rs. 25 thousand. Apart from these, the police also arrested two other criminals Hasrat and Salim on Sunday morning at Greater Noida’s Dankaur.
The Dankaur police then indulged in another encounter at Noida Sector 39 where some criminals were trying to steal a canter. 2 criminals were shot in the leg during the firing and both are being treated in the district hospital.
Greater Noida witnessed yet another encounter on Sunday where a criminal named Dinesh, who carried a bounty of Rs. 25 lakh was shot and injured his leg.
