A five-year-old boy lost his life after accidentally falling off the balcony of a fifth floor apartment in KW Srishti Society of Ghaziabad’s Raj Nagar Extension today. Police said that the boy was playing in the balcony. He had climbed on to his bicycle (kept there) and was peering down when he slipped and fell. According to society residents, the incident happened around 5.50 pm, when Rudransh, son of Ravi and Renu Kakran had somehow reached the balcony, unnoticed by the adults who were present in the flat.
Rudransh lived in flat E-507 with his parents, grandmother and aunt. His mother, aunt, grandmother and a few other relatives were present in the flat at the time of the incident, while his father was way at office. Residents of the society informed City Spidey that the boy fell down to an extended balcony of a second floor flat.
Sudhir Tyagi, owner of the second floor flat, said that his wife was alerted about the accident by their neighbour. Hearing a loud thud this neighbour rushed out to see what had happened. “My wife, who was washing clothes, came out and saw Rudransh lying on the floor. She could not recognise him. However, my children who take tuition classes from the boy’s aunt could easily recognise him. My wife immediately informed his parents and he was rushed to Yashoda Hospital in Nehru Nagar. His father reached the hospital directly from his office” Tyagi informed. Ghaziabad News
