On the eve of Republic Day, Rajendra Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dwarka delivered an inspiring talk on how children can contribute towards building a glorious India. Addressing over a hundred children who had gathered for a function organised by Choti Si Khushi (a volunteer organisation) at Sector 3 DDA Park, Singh also spoke about the hallmarks of an efficient police force. He even answered queries on how one can become an exemplary police officer.
The talk was followed by cultural dance performances and renditions of patriotic songs. There were also some skit performances. In one of the skits the importance of a girl child’s well being and education (Beti Padhao Beti Bachao)was reiterated.
All the participants were given prizes as a mark of appreciation. Volunteers of Choti Si Khushi were also given appreciation certificates and mementoes.
Apart from educating the poor children of Dwarka, Choti Si Khushi has been instrumental in imparting literacy to adult women.
