In Dwarka, dead trees are never dead

In Dwarka, civic negligence reigns supreme. A few months back City Spidey had carried a report on an uprooted near Om Apartments in Sector 14 — how it was blocking a turn.
That same tree, in that fallen position, has turned green again, sprouting new leaves!

A resident of Om Apartments, RK Singh, said, "This is sheer negligence by the DDA! After all, the road belongs to it. But the corporation and traffic police cannot escape responsibility either, as they too could have pursued the matter and had the tree removed." Dwarka News
And this is not an isolated incident.
According to data obtained from the DDA, there are more than 600 such fallen and dead trees across Dwarka. They can be seen everywhere — Sectors 13, 12, 9, 3, 22, and others.
Veena Goswami, a resident of Sector 13, said, "Civic bodies are least bothered about such trees. When I confronted the DDA, they said the trees come under the jurisdiction of the forest department. To cut them down, permission was required. So why can't they get the permission? "
Though City Spidey had on earlier occasions raised the subject with the DDA, no definitive answers could be had. Apartment management software
This time too, when director of horticulture, DDA, YD Sharma, was approached, he assured corrective measures.
