Will the drive to Gurgaon’s Ambience Mall become smoother?

After a good amount of delay, the proposed elevated U-turn on NH 8 near Ambience Mall is set to get a fresh nudge from the authorities.

The project was conceptualised by the Gurgaon administration and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) three years back, but the files just gathered dust. Gurgaon News
The Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), which recently started its operations in Gurgaon, has called a meeting of officials to discuss the way ahead.
The U-turn flyover will ease the crossing from west to east on the expressway near Ambience Mall. So commuters from Udyog Vihar, Sectors 21, 22, 23, Palam Vihar can breathe easy. Traffic hold-ups due to heavy inflow of vehicles from Udyog Vihar and Cyber City made entry to the mall a herculean task. gurgaon local news
The average time taken to reach Ambience Mall from Palam Vihar right now takes about 45 minutes to an hour. However, the U-turn will bring down that time by 20-25 minutes, and commuters will also not face bottlenecks near Shankar Chowk. apartment management software
“Travelling to Ambience Mall or DLF Phase 3 is troublesome and inconvenient. We have to drive to Rajokri and take a turn from there to get to the mall. Taxis have to pay at the toll there, creating a mess!” complained Deepak Kathuria, a resident of Sector 22.
Rakhee Talwar from Iffco Colony added, “The closest and biggest mall to our colony is ironically the most difficult to access. This project will hopefully solve that mess.”
Talking about the project to City Spidey, Yashpal Yadav, HUDA administrator, said, “We have already provided land for the project. Work on the project has been initiated again. Let’s hope it will ease commuting for people residing in the area.”
