Noida Authority to pick agencies for builder audits

In the next four weeks, Noida Authority will hire independent agencies for auditing the accounts of builders who are yet to deliver housing projects in Noida.

According to an official of Noida Authority, proposals have already been sent out to agencies deemed fit for the job. “We will hire two or three agencies,” the official confirmed.
He also said the authority would pay Rs 5 crore to each agency for the job and the report of the audit will be sent to the UP government within three months.
Noida Authority has even prepared a 10-point agenda for the audit. They include:
1. Number of flats in the project and a list of the flats booked
2. Names and addresses of each of the buyers
3. Payment received by the developer for each flat
4. Status of the project
5. Funds required to complete the project
6. A monthly statement of the project, stating the funds spent by the promoter on the project
7. A report on the promoter, describing how he plans to the fund the project
8. Payments received from each project of the developer group
9. The balance sheet of the promoter in the last five years
10. Technical and manpower status of the developer
