- The Delhi Traffic Police tweeted that the road leading from the Delhi-Noida-Delhi Expressway towards the landfill has been shut down.

- A woman riding a scooty is one among the dead. She has been identified as Rajkumari, a Ghazipur resident.
- Two people have been reported dead. One man and one woman died after a huge heap of garbage caved in at the Ghazipur landfill site.
- The incident reportedly happened around 2.30 pm, when the garbage heap collapsed in Ghazipur.
