Earlier this month, the Bombay High Court had rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the Pintos, who are the founders of the Ryan Group of Institutions.

The Punjab and Haryana Court too have refused to provide any further stay on the arrest. Now the trio Augustine Pinto, Grace Pinto and Ryan Pinto have been asked by the law enforcement authorities to assist in the murder investigations. In case of non-compliance, they can even be arrested.
Ashok Kumar, the accused has retracted his earlier statement (he had confessed to the crime) in court. His family is now alleging that he was framed. It was then that the victim’s parents along with the parents of other school students immediately demanded a CBI probe into the matter.
In the meantime, two officials of the school are already in judicial custody for non-adherence to safety and security. Moreover, Section 75 of the Juvenile Act has been slammed on the school for circumstances leading to the brutal murder.
