At least someone at the UP RERA is listening to homebuyers!

After flat owners demanded a local RERA office in Noida or Ghaziabad, a mail from the official RERA email assured them that their request would be escalated to the “higher authorities”. The reply came in response to a mail addressed to the Ministry of Urban Planning & Development, also marked to the emails ids of the UP RERA website. Contactuprera@gmail.com responded to the mail, saying: “We can think in the future [sic]. Your request will be forwarded to higher authority.” noida local news

The mail, originally sent by the Federation of Apartment Owners Association, or FedAOA, had mentioned that while Noida and Ghaziabad had the highest concentration of high-rise societies in Uttar Pradesh, these societies were fraught with infrastructural issues. A slew of real estate problems existed as well. Hence, a local centre would ensure that complainants would not have to make continuous rounds of the Lucknow office several hundred kilometres away.
Speaking to City Spidey, Alok Kumar, president of FedAOA, said that the response was a good sign, as it showed that the residents’ calls were not at least falling on deaf ears. “We are hoping that something good comes of our efforts. We are also trying to get in touch with the ministerial committee formed for resolving builder-buyer issues and told to conduct one-on-one sessions between the ministers and buyers,” Kumar added.
