Umesh Gupta, a resident of the society, said, “Our committee tried hard to find a place outside the society, but the MCD did not allow us. Therefore, we decided to shift these transformers from the basement to an open place within the society. We have enough space. But the BSES should tell us how much the transfer will cost.”
He added, “These transformers are a life threat. Residents normally park their vehicles close to these transformers — and it can prove fatal any day.”
