Inspired by the ‘NotInMyName’ campaign, citizens from across Delhi-NCR will spearhead a similar movement on Sunday to protest against mob lynchings of Muslims and Dalits under Modi rule.
The campaign, christened Nafrat Ke Khilaaf Insaniyat ki Awaaz, has 100 events planned for the day.
Those participating from Gurgaon can join the protests at Leisure Valley in Sector 29.
“Our idea is to safeguard our Constitution. Our aim is to rise against any kind of violence or lynchings. We are one on this. Poetry, art, drama — all creative forms — will be engaged to convey the angst of helpless citizens,” said senior eye surgeon Dr Parul Sharma, who is spearheading the campaign in Gurgaon. Gurgaon News
Another core organiser, Radha Khan, said, “All citizens are equal in the eyes of law. We will not tolerate any discrimination and let no one divide us. Our objective is to say ‘No’ to hatred and violence — and we are willing to fight for it.”
