Rainwater stagnating outside two residential societies in Secto r 44, Noida, has become a pressi ng concern for residents.
Residents of these societies said rainwater accumulated in the vacant plots opposite their societies has created unhygienic conditions. Noida Society News
The resident body of Kartik Kunj Apartments has notified Noida Authority senior officials of the situation through WhatsApp. Following this, the officials did pay a visit to the site, but nothing was done. Noida Local News
An office bearer, on condition of anonymity, said there was no way for the rainwater to flow out of the plots. He said the stagnating water was bound to become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and hence could lead to an outbreak of vector-borne diseases in the area. Noida News
According to Rajesh Sharma, district malari a officer, the area in question falls under the jurisdiction of Noida Authority and hence residents should approach the Authority again to get the stagnated water cleaned.
