Keeping in view the traffic snarls on NH 8 owing to recently introduced route diversions, district authorities have come up with a toll-free helpline for residents.
Hardeep Singh, DC Gurgaon, said, “Right from Rao Tula Ram Marg to Kherki Daula toll, if there’s any bottleneck, people can call at 8800092021. They will be immediately connected to the control room.”

“A heavy vehicle break-down is almost a daily affair on NH 8. It leads to traffic jams that last for hours,” said Sameer Setia, a daily commuter from Sector 47 to Green Park in Delhi.
The toll-free number also has ambulance and crane service. Gurgaon News
But residents seem sceptical about the number.
Shalini Baweja, a resident of Sector 15 — and a daily commuter to Manesar — said, “I didn’t know about any such number. I will definitely try. Let’s hope it works.”
The number works, claim officials. And sub-divisional magistrate of north zone, Bharat Bhushan Gogia, will attest to that. He confirmed, “I had to avail the service recently. The personnel deployed in control room reach the spot immediately.”
