Here’s a fact: 123 cases of laptop thefts have been reported from Gurgaon this month — on average, four every week, confirm police sources.
Laptop thefts have been a major concern for the city, with reported cases growing in numbers. For most, the data lost is a greater threat.
City police arrested two youths from Sector 14 yesterday. They have allegedly stolen more than 35 laptops from various PG accommodations during last month. gurgaon local news
According to the police, 35 laptops and 24 mobile phones have been recovered from their possession.
Inspector Bhartender Singh, station house officer (SHO) of Sector 14, said they formed teams to nab the accused after receiving more than five complaints in a week’s time. gurgaon news

The accused — identified as Gul Hasan (28) and Suhel (27) — are from Bijnor district in Uttar Pradesh, and lived in Khajoori Khas area of Delhi on rent. The two specialised in stealing electronic gadgets from residential areas. They mostly operated in DLF areas, sectors 14, 15, 39 and 45.
“The duo gained entry into apartments and paying guest accommodations. They stole from homes where the doors had been left ajar for some reason and the gadgets were easily accessible,” said Ranvir Singh, ACP (crime), Gurgaon. rwa management software
