In light of the recent increase in conflicts within the Apartment Owners Associations (AOA) of Ghaziabad, Federation of AOAs (FedAoA) has urged AOA members to talk it out and sort out matters in an amicable manner through clear communication. Moreover, members of the federation also said the FedAOA was ready to participate in discussions to sort things out without involving the authorities.
The conflicts within AOAs or between factions of residents has adverse effects on residents, as maintenance of the societies, taking up issues with builders or other authorities, suffer as a result of the conflicts. ghaziabad local news
Speaking to City Spidey, Alok Kumar, the patron of FedAOA, said the members or residents should set aside their individual differences for the common good and if these differences are not sorted out timely, they result into full blown conflict. “The members should always shed their ego and discuss matters with each other so that nobody needs to approach the court or other authorities. In case of any allegations, the members should immediately issue clarifications and sort out the matter,” said Kumar.
Kumar explained that once someone approaches the court with a case, the matter becomes stuck until the court issues directions or comes up with a verdict. “The matters of the society are left without any solution in such a situation and it is only the residents who suffer," added Kumar.
Without mentioning any particular society, Kumar said almost all the societies have two or more opposing factions of residents who fight out in AOA elections. But in such cases, the participants who fail to secure a position in the AOA should maintain communication with the elected members and vice versa.
